Alisha Dall’Osto

Seattle-based artist Alisha Dall’Osto centers landscape painting in her latest works. Her process involves attentive observation, sketching, painting, and photographing the natural world; then, in her studio, she revisits her drafts and materials to shape layers of color and visual texture, primarily in oil on panel, interpreting the light, form and energy of each subject or place. Dall’Osto studied Fine Art at Kenyon College in Ohio, and later with painters Mark Kang O’Higgins and Terry Furchgott at the Gage Academy of Art in Seattle. Previously Dall’Osto taught Foundation Drawing, Portrait Drawing, and Painting at the Gage Academy of Fine Art, Winslow Art Center, and in youth and teen art programs throughout Seattle.
